We offer two basic machine types of modular build: For use on heavy, wet and sticky soils or under conditions with a high level of organic trash we developed the Combi-Star CS 1500 & CS 1700; each has seven rows of stars followed by a main web unit. For use on sandy soils we developed the Combi-Star CW 1500 & CW 1700 with three rows of stars followed by a short web unit in place of four rows of stars and then the same main web unit as the Combi-Star. |

CW/CS 150 Seperator

For many farmers across Europe, stone and clod-separation is an integral part of the potato production process. The removal of stone and clod from the soil prior to planting helps to provide gentle and efficient harvesting. This gives the grower a clear quality advantage over his competitors who have not cleared the soil of clods and stones. The new ROTA-Power stone and clod-separators have been developed to offer potato growers improved work quality, together with reduced running costs. There is a choice of CW 150 or CS 150 to provide a combination of stars and webs to suit the situation. Many new features have been included on both models to make the machine one of the most compact, economical and efficient on the market today.

A second look will convince you of the machine’s capability for increased harvesting, sieving and separating facility and the benefits of the 7 tonne bunker. It is possible to adapt the powerful machine to the individual potato, or vegetable, harvesting conditions to ensure efficient and gentle harvesting. A choice of 280 or 326 HP Mercedes-Benz engines ensure the machine always has the power to do the job. For more than one good reason: Haulm toppers do not only allow an easier harvesting but also guarantee a more efficient harvest!Haulm cutting several weeks before harvesting is one important step to wards a successful harvest. It influences the yield, the quality and the storability of the potatoes.Whether it is for table, processing or seed potatoes: haulm cutting is an essential part of the campaign. Even for starch potatoes it is becoming more and more important; especially because topping before harvest produces even maturing and skin setting. This means that the potato is less sensitive and the roots detach easier from the crop. Another advantage: Less haulm during harvest means increased speed during digging – the refore increased output. Less haulm leads to less damage and less work for the separator. The result is better separation of the crop. The crop is cleaner and potato losses are reduced. – With the haulm topper you get more for yourself!

SL 125 Storage Loader

Compact, powerful, agile and with an attractive price/performance ratio – distinguishing features of the new SL 125 from Grimme. The 12.5 metre long conveyor has an effective length of 9 metre due to the short and agile chassis. This special construction also reduces the retraced length to 4.8 metres, a unique ability in its category. And because of the special construction it is possible to use the whole belt width of 65 cm because the side panels do not narrow the width or damage the crop. Furthermore the machine is equipped with an electro-hydraulic drive with infinite speed adjustment from zero to maximum speed of all drive components. The intake area is easily accessible with a 180° angle to allow a fast and direct transfer of the crop without disturbing support wheels or something like that. Also for gentle transfer of the crop the running side parts and the horizontal head end are significant benefits. Another benefit is the hydraulic drive of the belt at the pulling end, avoiding unnecessary slipping of the belt and reducing wastage. The guide rollers are equipped with sealed for life ball bearings for reduced maintenance.

In time for the first Grimme "Technica" the new Grimme Web Grader WG was presented the first time to the public.
The robust Web Grader suits especially to separate potatoes and onions. The unique electro-hydraulic drive with infinite speed adjustment ensures an optimum separating result and gentlest handling of the crop. But not only the drive enables terrific gentle handling but also a special transfer roller at the end of the web. It transfer the crop on following machines with a very low drop height. Already through the construction one main target was easy maintenance that as example the change of the web if necessarycarried out in a short time.
